• ET-8MS-MIL – 8 port 10/100 IP67 military Ethernet managed switch
• ET-8MG-MIL – 8 port all-Gigabit IP67 military managed switch

I am a current user of the ET-9MS manage switch and had good performance for years. Now that it has reached end of life, I am not sure which Sixnet product replaces it and if it will be 100% compatible.
The ET-9MS came in 3 basic versions:
1. ET-9MS-1 (9) ports all copper 10/100 RJ45
2. ET-9MS-2 or 3 ST/SC which had (8) ports all copper 10/100 RJ45 and (1) Fiber SC/ST Multimode/Singlemode
3. ET-9MS-4 or 5 ST/SC which had (7) ports all copper 10/100 RJ45 and (2) Fiber SC/ST Multimode/Singlemode
The SLX-8MS replacement is 100% compatible with the ET series but comes in 8 ports so you are short one copper port to begin with. If you need fiber ports, the SLX comes with (2) so if you were using the ET-9MS-2 or 3 which had 8 copper and only 1 fiber you are now short 2 copper ports.
Not everyone uses all the copper ports so that may not be a problem but if it is here is one simple solution:
The SLX-10MG-1 has 10 copper ports but 2 of them are combo ports which means you can slip in up to 2 SFP Fiber Transceivers to meet your fiber requirements. The good news now is that you get all the copper you need, fiber flexibility and Gigabit speed for less cost that the ET series you were buying plus a lot more firmware features.
